The Voice of the Landlord Survey Scotland is a national, annual study funded by the SafeDeposits Scotland Charitable Trust. It explores the characteristics and experiences of landlords operating within the Scottish private rented sector.

Launched in 2024, the survey will be conducted annually with a new representative sample of over 1,000 landlords. It covers key topics such as rent setting, portfolio changes, property conditions, and the use of letting agents.

Every wave will also explore a current issue. The latest edition included questions on past and proposed reforms to the private rented sector in Scotland.

Read the results of the latest survey by downloading the full report of findings below.

This study complements the Trust's ongoing Voice of the Tenant research. Together, these two surveys aim to provide a comprehensive view of sector trends, capturing the perspectives of both landlords and tenants.
